I can’t take credit for either one of the recipes I’m going to share with you today, but they’ve become such a staple in our family, that I feel the need to pass them on!
This cinnamon roll recipe is a classic from Paula Deen, the queen of butter herself. They are soft and fluffy and surprisingly easy to make. Queen Deen’s icing recipe is delicious, but I found this cream cheese icing recipe several years ago in a quick Google search, and I haven’t used anything else since. It’s thick and creamy, and you just can’t beat that sweet cream cheese flavor!

Add the yeast, mix until smooth.
Slowly add in remaining flour.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
After dough has risen, roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
Cover the dough in melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon mixture evenly on top.
Carefully roll the dough into one long “log,” starting on the long side.
Use a knife to slice the log into 1” sections.

Let the rolls rise another 45 minutes, then bake for 35 minutes at 350°F.
